Bio

I currently serve as an Assistant Comptroller in the Department of Finance for the
City of Chicago. I have 28 years of experience in the field of Financial Public Service,
as well as 15 years in Commercial Banking. I have always been intrigued with
working with numbers in both fields of accounting and finance. My education
began in the Chicago Public School system, and I’ve attended the University of
Illinois, and have received my bachelor’s degree in accounting and my master’s
degree in public administration at Roosevelt University in Chicago. Historically, I
thrive in areas of problem solving and thinking outside the box. Critical thinking
and conflict resolution are viable skillsets I use daily.

I have been happily married to the love of my life and best friend “Brenda” for fortytwo years. We have one beautiful daughter “Bianca Nicole”, as well as one grand
pup “Cocoa” who fills our hearts with an abundance of joy!
I have a past time passion in the field of art. I enjoy creating drawings, paintings,

and constructing meaningful collages. I have been a public motivational speaker for
many years. I’ve had the opportunity to speak in Chicago Public Schools, Christian
Business Associations, Business Leadership conference at LWCC and the honor of
teaching on the subject of “mind renewal” for the Kingdom Running Club. One of
my main passions is running. I’ve been blessed to serve as a Co-Captain for the
Kingdom Running Club at Living Word Christian Center for several years. I have run
and completed numerous full, and half marathons held nationwide.
My Christian journey and faith walk as a believer in Jesus Christ has been nothing

short of amazing by experiencing victories after victories and overcoming life many
challenges.
