

Marathon and Health & Wellness Training Programs
Welcome to our comprehensive training programs designed to empower individuals in their pursuit of marathon running and holistic health. Whether you’re a novice or returning to running after a hiatus, Kingdom Running Club (KRC) warmly invites you to embark on a transformative journey with us.
Our 9-month intensive training program prepares participants for either a full marathon (26.2 miles) or a half marathon (13.1 miles). Regardless of your experience level, our inclusive program caters to all, ensuring a supportive environment for every runner.
As a precaution, we strongly advise all participants to consult with a medical professional before commencing any physically demanding training regimen.

We meet every Saturday for both in-class and on the road training.
- 9 Month challenging training program designed to train people who have never run before to run a marathon (26.2) or half marathon (13.1).
- Members are strongly urged to seek medical advice before starting any physical training program
- We meet every Saturday for both in-class and on the road training.
- 2 ½ Months in-class training sessions cover mind renewal, nutrition, fitness/strength training, gear and more.
- The 2 ½ Months of in-class take place in house and online via Zoom.
- In-Class sessions meet for 2 to 2 ½ hours. There are some classes that are a little longer (those will be announced).
- In-Class sessions start at 8:00 am and end at 10:00 am; for longer classes 10:30 am. There will be some early start days at 7:00 am or 6:30 am.
- 6 to 7 Months of on the road training consists of your weekly long runs or speed training.
- On the road meeting times range from 6:00/6:30 am until runner completion of mileage. Average meeting times are 6:30 am.
- Additionally, it is expected that you will work out 5 to 6 days a week on your own; this includes 2 mid week short runs. Note: training for runs will be provided.
- Members can not miss more than 3 consecutive classes to remain an active KRC member (i.e. 3 consecutive weeks of classes).
- Races- You are responsible for your own race registration:
- Chicago Marathon is closed; Fox Valley Marathon and Naperville are open. Go to www.fv26.com for Fox Vallery Marathon or www.runnaperville.com for the Naperville half marathon.
- You will need to purchase running shoes an estimated 3 pairs for running.
- You will need to purchase a watch.
- You will need to purchase running clothes.

• Run on the Lake front at Wilson (take lake shore drive north to Wilson)
• Run on IL Prairie path at St. Johns School, Lombard, IL

Race registrations are the responsibility of individual participants, with opportunities to join KRC as a team in selected events, including the Fox Valley and Naperville marathons. *Other races will be announced.

To maximize your training experience, you will require:
- Running shoes (approximately 3 pairs)
- A reliable timing device for tracking progress
- Appropriate running attire for all seasons
- Essential accessories such as running belt, water bottle, and nutrition items

Our 2 ½ month program is dedicated to empowering individuals to take charge of their health and fitness journey. Focused on cultivating sustainable habits rather than quick fixes, participants will acquire lifelong skills for lasting transformation.
As with our marathon program, we emphasize the importance of consulting with a healthcare professional before embarking on this journey.

- 2 ½ month training program designed to train people interested in taking control of their health and fitness.
- Participants will be taught lifelong skills to change their lives. Training is not a fad program or quick fix solution.
- Health and Wellness program is for individuals desiring to become healthier and more fit for life.
- All participants are strongly urged to seek medical advice before starting this training program.
- We meet every Saturday. All Classes in will be Online and Virtual via Zoom.
- 2 ½ Months in-class training sessions cover mind renewal, nutrition, fitness/strength training, gear and more.

- It is expected that you will work out 5 to 6 days a week on your own utilizing the class instructions provided.
- It is expected that you will actively participate in all team challenges, homework assignments, and workouts assigned throughout the program
- Working out and team challenges are designed to promote health and fitness and to replace old habits with new ones!
- Participants are expected not to miss more than 3 consecutive classes as we are training our bodies and spirts for better health and fitness.
- In order to make the items demoed in class at home you will need juicer, blender and food items.
